California Wedding | Alexandra & Shawn

A wedding in Orange County, California is like a dream come true. This one is really special to us. Two different communities and one amazing union. When we first received an email from Alex & Shawn, it it was too good to be true. A Chinese girl marrying a Gujarati boy in the gorgeous city of California.

Everyone, right from the couple to their families, made us feel home. They looked after us really well making sure we were comfortable. Both of them were so warm and loving, allowing us complete freedom to document their wedding the way we wanted.

Alex & Shawn tied the knot at the same place where they first met at The Fairmont High School. It was a gorgeous setting in the lawns under a big tree. It was a delight to see everyone so wonderfully blending into each other’s culture. They performed all the Gujarati rituals followed by the traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony. It’s a sweet tradition where the couple offer a cup of tea to their elders as a sign of gratitude in exchange for a few words of wisdom and blessings. It symbolises the union of two families.

Alex & Shawn, thank you for trusting us with this. We had one of the most amazing time with you guys.
