''Ketan & Manasvi (Tann & Mann - love their nicknames for each other) are such beautiful people. They are so easy going and accommodating to work with. Being a couple in love and experiencing their own wedding not too long ago, they understood things we couldn’t always explain as a bride and groom. Their abundance of talent is apparent in all the work they do. Another thing that I love about them is they are explorative and not afraid to try new things to reach new heights of creativity. I’m really lucky to have them capture our wedding and would recommend them.''

Shooting weddings in Dubai make us feel at home. We’ve been blessed to get to shoot so many beautiful Dubai Indian Weddings and every time we go back, it’s a different experience. This time, we’re blogging a wedding that’s very close to our hearts. More so because we’ve known Rachna’s family since we shot a first wedding with them back in 2013.

Rachna & Gopal met each other in Chicago in 2014 through an online app called Coffee Meets Bagel. It’s an online dating app where you receive a ‘Bagel’ (prospect) every day at noon and you get matched if both like their bagels. Chatting with Gopal was very refreshing, says Rachna. His cheesy one-liners keep her giggling and entertained throughout their chatting sessions. After rescheduling for a month, they finally met for their first date. Gopal had set up a sailing lesson at Belmont Harbour in Chicago and from there on there was no going back. They both make an amazing couple.

Being away from home in Chicago, Rachna planned most of her wedding using Pinterest and help from family based in Dubai.

We landed in Dubai just two days before their celebrations began & met Gopal for the first time at their pre-wedding shoot. They wanted to cover parts of Dubai in their photoshoot. We started at the Souk-Al-Bahar, the sailor’s market. Situated in Downtown Dubai, it’s a lively market space offering their tourists a beautiful view of the Burj Khalifa. The place has a very Arabic feel to it which made it apt for the kind of look Rachna & Gopal wanted from their Dubai pre-wedding photoshoot. We then proceeded to the Hatta Desert, a little away from the city. Nothing describes Dubai better than a desert, we feel. Miles of soft sands and the beauty of the setting sun made it a perfect location.

Rachna & Gopal got married at The Address Montgomerie, Emirates Hills, Dubai. It’s a private and intimate venue away from the hustle & bustle of the city. It’s a boutique gold course resort and the views are spectacular. Hosting an outdoor wedding was always Rachna’s dream and there could have been nothing more beautiful than this breathtaking property. The property offered some amazing backdrops for portraits & their Hindu Wedding ceremony which took place at a mandap amidst the lush green. Rachna & Gopal’s Hindu wedding was full of emotions. Theirs is a very close knit family which was evident from the bond they shared with everyone, right from their aunts to their cousins.

They hosted their Reception on the next day of their wedding at The Address Marina, Dubai. Rachna wanted her outfit to be very different as they had planned a few performances for the evening. Initially for a couple of hours, she had a Navy blue jacket over her colourful pink & orange lehenga that came off when the Sangeet kickstarted for the night. It was a fun evening filled with speeches, a couple of games followed by dancing.

It was a privilege to be Rachna & Gopal’s Dubai Wedding Photographers. Thank you guys for trusting us with this. We love you.

Here’s part 1 of the blog featuring their Dubai Pre-Wedding photoshoot. Stay tuned for their wedding!
